Add Company Dialog Box
Use this dialog box to create a new company from the Companies Log in Newforma Info Exchange.
Only Project Center users with a Content Administrator license can create new companies.
Name
Enter the name of the company.
Web Address
Enter the company’s web address.
Main Contact
Click in the drop-down list to open the Select Project Team Members as Recipients dialog box to select the main contact for the company.
Show in Company Lists
Select Yes to list this company in company dialog boxes and lists throughout Info Exchange. All users will be able to see this company. If you select No, the company will be hidden.
Content administrator users can see all companies in the Companies log.
Source
This field populates automatically to display the method used to create the new company. Options include Manually and the Microsoft Exchange Global Address List.
Rating
Select the rating for this company from 1 (worst) to 5 (best).
Company Type
Select the company’s type from the drop-down list.
Disciplines
Select the disciplines to apply to the company from the drop-down list.
Spec Section
Select the specification sections to apply to the company from the drop-down list.
Locations tab
If the company has multiple mailing addresses, add them here.
Primary
Select the radio button for the location that is designated as the primary location for the company.
At least one location must be defined for the radio button to appear.
Location Name
The name of the company location.
Address
The location address.
Phone
The main phone number for the location.
Fax
The main fax number for the location.
Type
The location type. Options include Mailing, Office and Job Site.
Add Location
Click to open the Add Location dialog box to define a new company location.
Comments tab
Use this tab to add and view comments and notes about the company and its contacts.
Date
The date and time the comments were entered.
Author
The author of the comments.
Remarks
The comments entered about the company.
Related to
The project the comments are related to, if any.
Add Comment
Click to open the Comment dialog box, to create a new comment. Click Save to save the comment.
Notes tab
Enter any additional notes about the company on this tab.
Custom Fields tab
This tab displays any custom fields created by the administrator for companies. Fill in the field information as needed.
Save
Click Save to save the company and add it to the Companies log.
To access this dialog box
Click Add Company in the Companies log.
