Add Related Document dialog box

This dialog box applies only to FileNet users.

Use this dialog box to add a related document to the currently selected Compound Document.

A document is created as a Compound Document if that is the default setting for document creation in your FileNet environment.

If relationship properties (properties that are used to explain the relationship between a parent and child document) are required, you will need to use the native application for check-in.

When you add a related document (child document in FileNet terms), default FileNet settings, link class, and properties are added to the related document.

You cannot change a document from Compound to Simple in Project Center.

File

Locate the file you want to associate the selected document with.

Select the version of the file to associate the selected document with – a released version (the latest .0 version) or the current version.

To access this dialog box

Select a Compound Document file from the Project Files activity center, and then click EDMS System Tasks > Add Related Document from the Tasks panel.
