Difference Between Supporting Documents and Received Files for Submittals and RFIs

Submittals and RFIs can include both supporting documents and received files. It’s important to note the following differences between the two:

Received files are the files that were received from the contractor. These files are also captured in the Record Copy for the receipt.

Supporting documents provide a way to link to items out in the project files. They can be added as a reference source.
