Daily Reports Activity Center
Use this activity center to log, review, and track daily reports electronically.
Daily ReportsCreate Daily Report Click to open the Create Daily Report dialog box to log a daily report. Create Report Click to open the Create Report dialog box to select the type of report to create. The report contains the contents of this activity center’s log. You can customize which columns appear in reports simply by selecting which columns to show and hide in the activity center. Simply right-click on column headers to add or remove columns. A checkmark indicates the column will appear in the activity center and the report. Import Spreadsheet Click to open the Select Spreadsheet dialog box to select a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet containing daily report data that you can import. The imported daily reports are placed in the appropriate daily report log based on the type imported. Selected Daily ReportModify Click to open the Modify a Daily Report dialog box to edit the settings for the selected daily report, including due dates, included files, and the question. Create Similar Daily Report Click to open the Create Daily report dialog box to open a new daily report containing the same information as the one you selected from the log. You can then edit the information to create a similar daily report. View Form Click to open the Daily Report form to view or print the selected daily report’s history and details. Click to change the selected daily report’s status to Draft so that it can be edited. Finalize Click to: Change the Status to Final. Create a PDF file with the format Daily Report_Report Date_Report#_Rev#.pdf and save it in the record copy folder set in the Edit Project Settings dialog box. For example: Daily Report_20130305_00156_R1.pdf Set the daily report to read-only with the exception of the Supporting Documents/Email Log/Related Items/Change Log tabs. Open the Daily Report form, which you can print and/or send out. Send Click to open the Send Options dialog box to choose how to send a .PDF file of the daily report and whether to record a transmittal for it. Review Related Action Items This task is available only when you select an item that has related action items. Click to open the Related Action Items activity center to view action items related to the selected item. Review Related Markup Sessions This task is available only when you select an item that has related markup sessions. Click to open the Related Markup Sessions activity center to view information about and preview the related markup sessions. Send Email About Daily Report Click to open a new email message in Microsoft Outlook containing information about the selected daily report. When you enter information and send the message to contacts included in the daily report, you can select whether to send and file the daily report to the selected daily report’s Email Log. You must be a Project Center administrator and have a Professional User role to delete daily reports. Click to delete the daily report from Project Center. Daily ReportsCategory drop-down listThe category drop-down list contains filters to display daily reports by category. For example, if you want to view finalized daily reports, select All Final Daily Reports from the list. Only finalized daily reports will appear in the log. You can also choose to display daily reports for all project users or only daily reports on which you are listed as the sender or recipient. Each category is explained below. Click to toggle between showing daily reports for all users or only daily reports you are involved with. All Daily ReportsClick to display all daily reports that have been entered for this project. All Final Daily ReportsClick to display all finalized daily reports. All Draft Daily ReportsClick to display daily reports that are still being drafted. This Week’s Daily ReportsClick to display this week’s daily reports. This Month’s Daily ReportsClick to display this month’s daily reports. Filter All ColumnsYou can filter by any text that appears in any of the daily report columns. For example, if you know the ID (or part of the ID) of the daily report you are searching for (or the day, status, date, etc.), enter at least part of the text in this field. The list updates automatically as you type. For example, if the daily report you are searching for has the number 30 somewhere in one of the columns, enter 30 in this field. The list will be narrowed down to only daily reports that have the number 30 somewhere in one of the columns. Click to clear all filters. > Click to toggle between showing and hiding the column filter fields. > >Click to group by the any of the columns. For example, if you want to group the list of items by date, select Report Date from the drop-down list. The items will be grouped into separate sections alphabetically by date. See Column Sorting, Filtering, and Grouping for more information. Daily Report logThe daily report log displays the daily reports for the category selected above. Select a daily report for a list of tasks you can perform, which appear in the Tasks panel. Double-click a daily report to open the Modify a Daily Report dialog box to view and edit the daily report’s information and settings. ColumnsColumn headers are different for each daily report category. The following list includes all column headers for all daily report categories. Some categories may not include all columns, and they may not be in the order listed here. If you move and resize columns, they are saved in that position for each category. Column settings are reflected in daily report reports. Right-click on any column header to list and de-list columns. Click the icons for more filtering options. IDThe ID number of the daily report. Report DateThe date the daily report was created. DayThe day of the week of the daily report. StatusThe current status of the daily report – Draft or Final. Created ByThe contact who created the daily report. Total SubThe total number of subcontractors at the site. Total InternalThe total number of internal personnel at the site. Total VisitorThe total number of visitors at the site. Total EquipmentThe total number of pieces of equipment at the site. To/CCThe contacts the daily report was distributed to. Precipitation TotalDaily total precipitation amount. KeywordsAny keywordsIn Project Center, keywords are words you can add to items to use for filtering. When you add keywords, they appear in the Keywords column of the corresponding Project Center activity centers. You can then filter the list of items using the keywords to quickly find the items you are looking for. applied to the daily report. Related ItemsIf the daily report has any related items, the icons appear here. Related Project ItemsThis column is a text version of the icons in the Related Items column. The text will appear in reports.
