Newforma Connector Service (NCS) – How to disconnect/remove a project
This guide explains how to disconnect/remove a project that is already connected between Newforma Project Center (NPC) and a connector (e.g., Procore) using NCS. Disconnecting a project can be useful if you’re reconfiguring your integration or retiring a project.
Who Can Disconnect a Project?
Only users with specific administrative roles can perform this action:

Project Admin | Yes (Only assigned Projects) |
Ball-In-Court User | No access |
Note: Only Global Admins and assigned Project Admins have access to the Disconnect option.
Key Notes Before You Disconnect
- You can disconnect any project — whether it’s Active, Archived, or has connection/sync issues.
- All configuration, settings, and field mappings will be lost once a project is disconnected.
- To re-establish a connection, you’ll need to go through the entire connection setup process again.
Steps to Disconnect/Remove a Project
- Log in to the Connected Projects page using your Global Admin or Project Admin credentials
- Locate the project you want to disconnect

3. Click the Edit (✏️) icon next to the project.

4. In the Edit Configuration page, scroll to the bottom-left corner.
5. Click the Remove button.

6. A pop-up dialog will appear. Check the confirmation box to enable the Disconnect button.

7. Click Disconnect.

8.You will see a success message confirming the project has been disconnected.

Disconnecting Projects Not Found in NPC or Connector
For projects that have already been deleted from NPC or the connected system:
- You’ll see a Disconnect button instead of Edit on the Connected Projects page.

2. Click the Disconnect button.
3. A pop-up dialog will appear. Check the confirmation box to enable the Disconnect button.

4. Click Disconnect

After Disconnection
- The project will no longer appear as a connected item in the NCS Dashboard.
- Any future syncs or updates from NPC to the connector (or vice versa) will not occur until reconnected.
