Publish Settings dialog box
Use this dialog box to configure the publishing settings used when publishing Autodesk Revit sheets to PDF and DWG or synchronizing and adding revisions to Project Center via Newforma Project Information Link.
You must configure the publishing options before the initial PDF publish. The system retains the settings after the first publish, but you can change them for each publish as needed.
Options tab
Use this tab to configure the location and file naming conventions used when publishing PDFs and DWGs using Newforma Project Information Link.
Publish Sheets to PDF
Configure the location and folder structure to use when publishing sheets to PDF from Revit.
PDF File Location
The folder location in which to store the published PDFs. Click the button to browse to the desired location or select a recently used location from the drop-down list.
This setting is project specific.
Create Separate Subfolder for Each Publish
Select this checkbox to create a separate subfolder in the PDF File Location each time you publish sheets to PDF. This prevents issues with overwriting previously published PDFs.
Subfolder names are based on publish date and time.
Synchronize and Add Revisions
Configure the location and folder structure to use when synchronizing and adding revisions between Revit and Project Center.
PDF File Location
The folder location in which to store the published PDFs. Click the button to browse to the desired location or select a recently used location from the drop-down list.
This setting is project specific.

DWG Settings
DWG Subfolder
Use to create a subfolder under the PDF file location for any exported DWG files. Leave blank to save DWG files to the same location as PDFs.
Filename
Configure the filename generated for the published PDFs and DWGs.
Filenames are sticky per user.
Individual Sheet PDF File Names
Configure the filename to use when single sheet PDFs and DWGs are generated. The filename configuration appears in the first text box. You can type in the field as needed as well as add sheet property values.
To add a property to the filename, click the <Select a Property and Click Insert> drop-down field. Select an available property from the drop-down list. Place your cursor in the filename text box where you want the property to appear and click Insert to add the property to the filename.
Properties that are already part of the filename appear in bold text in the drop-down list.
Insert
Click to add the property currently selected in the drop-down list to the filename.
Reset
Click to reset the filename to the original system default.
Combined Sheet PDF File Name
Configure the filename to use when the selected sheets are combined into a single PDF. The filename configuration appears in teh fierst text box. you can type in the field as needed as well as add sheet property values.
To add a property to the filename, click the <Select a Property and Click Insert> drop-down field. Select an available property from the drop-down list. Place your cursor in the filename text box where you want the property to appear and click Insert to add the property to the filename.
Properties that are already part of the filename appear in bold text in the drop-down list.
Insert
Click to add the property currently selected in the drop-down list to the filename.
Reset
Click to reset the filename to the original system default.
PDF Page Setup tab
Use this tab to configure the page setup used when publishing PDFs using Newforma Project Information Link.
PDF Driver
Select the PDF driver to use when generating PDFs. The following drivers are supported:
Newforma PDF
This driver is supplied by Newforma and is the recommended driver for use with the Newforma Project Information Link functions.
BioPDF
Adobe
Bluebeam
Only supported drivers that are installed on your machine appear in the PDF Driver drop-down list.
Setup Name
Select the page setup to use when generating PDFs. The list is populated with page setups already defined in Revit that will work with the selected PDF driver. You can use the settings in this dialog box to modify an existing setup or create and save a new page setup as needed.
Page setups are not tied to a specific PDF driver. They do look at Paper Size and Paper Source. If these are the same, you can share the setup between drivers.
Page Setup Parameters
The following page setup parameters are available in the dialog box and can be modified as needed:
Paper
Paper Placement
Zoom
Orientation
Hidden Line Views
Appearance
Options
These are the same parameters that are available when creating page setups directly in Revit. For more information, please see Revit help.
To change additional driver settings, such as dpi or other values that do not appear in the dialog box, you must edit the device settings directly in Windows.
Save
Click to save the current settings to the selected page setup.
Save As
Click to save the current settings as a new page setup.
Revert
Use this option to undo any unsaved changes you have made to the currently selected page setup and revert to the previous settings.
Rename
Click to rename the currently selected page setup.
Delete
Click to delete the currently selected page setup.
It is important to note that any changes made to page setups (renaming, save as, deleting, etc.) will be available for the current Revit session. However, you must save the model in order for any page setup changes you have made to be available in future sessions.

You can access the Publish Settings dialog box in one of the following ways:
Click Publish Settings from the Publish Sheets dialog box in Newforma Project Information Link.
Click Publish Settings from the Synchronize and Add Revisions dialog box in Newforma Project Information Link.
