Project Center Administration Activity Center Transfers tab
Use this activity center to manage and configure Project Center and the settings for its file transfers made via Info Exchange. This tab shows the history of file transfers made via Info Exchange, including those that have expired, by location and project.
This activity center is only available to Project Center administrators. Administrators are listed in the Licensing tab. If no administrators are listed, all Project Center users have administrative privileges until the first administrator is added.
Switching tabs does not update the information in this activity center. Click the button to get the latest information.
The following list shows all available tasks for this tab. Transfer ManagementCreate a Report Click to open the Create Report dialog box to select the type of Info Exchange file transfers report to create. You can run the Info Exchange transfers report for one project or all projects, depending on what you select from the Project drop-down list. Access Newforma Support Click to open the Newforma support website. Return to My Project Center Click to close this activity center and return to the My Project Center activity center. Selected TransferView Form Click to open the File Transfer form to display the contents and the transfer history for the selected file transfer. Modify Access Level Click to open the Modify Info Exchange Transfer Access Level dialog box to edit who can access the selected file transfer from Info Exchange. Select in Info Exchange Log Click to go to the selected file transfer in its project in the Info Exchange Activity Center to modify it and perform other tasks. Expire Click to remove the contents of the file transfer from Info Exchange. An entry is added to the file transfer’s Change Log tab indicating that the transfer was expired manually. A record of the file transfer will remain in the All Expired log of the Info Exchange Activity Center. |
Project Center AdministrationLocationSelect the server location to display from the drop-down list. All projects from that location will be displayed in the Project list. To display all projects from all locations, select All Locations. ProjectSelect the Project Center project for which you want to display file transfers from the drop-down list. To display all file transfers for all projects for the selected location, select All Projects. To display all personal file transfers that users have sent and received that are not related to any projects, select All Personal Projects. Filter All ColumnsYou can filter by any text that appears in any of the columns. For example, if you know the subject (or part of the subject) of the file transfer that you are searching for (or the date, project, etc.), enter at least part of the text in this field. The Items list updates automatically as you type. For example, if the subject you are searching for has the number 30 somewhere in one of the columns, enter 30 in this field. The list will be narrowed down to only file transfers that have the number 30 somewhere in one of the columns. Click to clear all filters. > Click to toggle between showing and hiding the column filter fields. > >Click to group by the any of the columns. For example, if you want to group the list of items by subject, select Subject from the drop-down list. The items will be grouped into separate sections alphabetically by subject. See Column Sorting, Filtering, and Grouping for more information. Info Exchange TransfersThis section lists all of the Info Exchange file transfers for the selected location and project. All columns are listed here. Right-click on any column header to add and remove columns. Click the icons for more filtering options. Transfer TypeThe file transfer’s type. DateThe date of the file transfer. FromThe contact who transferred the files. SubjectThe subject of the file transfer. ToThe recipients of the file transfer. CCAny additional contacts included in the file transfer. ExpiredYes indicates that the file transfer expired and was removed from Info Exchange. ExpirationThe date the file transfer expired and was removed from Info Exchange. Access LevelIndicates who can access the file transfer. This is set in the Transfer to Info Exchange Options dialog box. SizeThe size of the file transfer. ProjectThe Project Center project the file transfer was made from. Downloaded ByThe name of the contact who downloaded the transfer. Project ManagerThe name of the project managerResponsible for the day-to-day working relationship with the client/building owner/developer; Logistical coordinator of design and construction; Identifies and tracks resolution of issues that are the responsibility of others; Responds to inquiries from client and reviewing agencies.. |
Switching Project Center servers instantly
Click the icon in the lower left corner of the Project Center Administration activity center to switch the Project Center Server you are connected to. You can also type in the name of a server. When a new project is opened or created, the server it is on is added to the list.
The home server location is determined by the name of the Project Center Server entered when Project Center was installed. This server is added to the registry. If your home location is not the same as the location of the Project Center Server for another project, it is not switched in the registry.
To access this activity center
Click Project Center Administration from the Tasks panel of the My Project Center activity center or from the Activities list, then click the Transfers tab.
