Newforma Project Center Email Item Import Form

Use this dialog box to file email itemsSupported Outlook items include email messages, tasks, posts, appointment/meetings, contacts, distribution lists, journal items, meeting requests, and reports.  from any email folder into a Project Center project. Use it to file archived email items from .PST files or Public Folders.

You can configure it to optionally file email items from all subfolders.

You can optionally move email items to another email folder after they are filed.

It writes a checkpoint file that can be used to resume an interrupted operation.

Email Items to be Imported into Newforma Project Center

Select the folder from which you want to import email items. Click the button to locate and select the folder.

Also File Email Items from Subfolders of this Folder

Mark this checkbox to file items in subfolders of the selected folder.

Mark Email Items with “Filed by Newforma” Outlook Category

Mark this checkbox to add the Filed by Newforma category to the email item.

Optional Folder to Move Email Items After Filing

You can select an optional folder in which to move email items after they are filed. Click the button to locate and select the folder.

Newforma Project Where the Items will be Filed

Select the project in which to file the email items. The items are saved in the default project email folder location. Click the button to select the project.

Optional Checkpoint File from Previous Import in this Project (to Avoid Re-filing Messages after an Interruption)

A checkpoint file is automatically created when you perform an import. In the case an interruption, specify the location of the checkpoint file to continue filing messages at the point where it left off instead of starting over. The checkpoint file is added to the Desktop. Click the button to locate and select the file. Once the import is complete, you can delete the file.

You can use the N4 ProjectEmail Import command to add files to Project Center projects from the following types of Microsoft Outlook mailboxes: Inboxes, opened .PST Files, public folders or any visible folder in Outlook, as well as sub-folders

To access this form

Open a Command prompt and type the following n4 command from the listed path:

For 64-bit machines:
