Merge Companies dialog box
Use this dialog box to merge two duplicate companies into one. The information for the two companies will be merged across all projects. Choose the company whose information you want to use throughout Project Center. The other company will be deleted.
This feature is useful for merging two companies that were accidentally entered twice. For example, a company may have been entered with two different addresses, resulting in a duplicate company record. This dialog box will merge these companies under the desired address and all project data will reflect the updated (and correct) information.

Click to open the View Company dialog box to view details about the selected company.
Additional Information
The following fields are affected on the primary company:
The primary company fields (names, web address, phone numbers, etc.) are preserved.
If the secondary company has a main contact but the primary does not, the primary company inherits the secondary’s main contact.
The primary company inherits all contacts from the secondary company.
The primary company inherits all server assignments from the secondary company.
The primary company inherits all company roles on projects from the secondary company.
The primary company inherits all office locations from the secondary company unless the office location already exists by name within the primary company. In that case:
All contacts referencing the secondary office location will be redirected to the primary company’s office location.
All servers referencing the secondary office location will be redirected to the primary company’s office location.
All project sites referencing the secondary office location will be redirected to the primary company’s office location.
To access this dialog box
Select two companies from the Project Center Administration Activity Center Companies tab and click Merge Companies from the Tasks panel.
